Delete Your Account

You can delete your BrainLadders account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this — pick whichever is easier for you.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open BrainLadders on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Once you confirm, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which it is deactivated but can still be restored by signing back in. After 30 days, your account and all associated personal data are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you no longer have access to the app, send a request to contact@1130.studio from the email address linked to your account. Please include:
- The email or username on your BrainLadders account
- The platform you signed up on (iOS or Android)
We will confirm your identity, place the account into the same 30-day grace period described above, and reply with confirmation within 30 days (typically within a few business days).
What gets deleted
- Your profile (display name, avatar, email, password hash, sign-in identifiers)
- Your MMR rating and leaderboard position
- Your quiz history, streaks, questions seen, and in-app activity
- Notification preferences and push-notification tokens
- Referral codes you generated and referrals attributed to you
- Support correspondence linked to your account
- Any account preferences and settings
What we keep (and why)
- Payment and tax records — retained for up to 10 years where required by Serbian and EU tax and accounting law. These records are stored separately from your profile and contain only the minimum data legally required (e.g. transaction ID, amount, date).
- Anonymised game data — quiz answer statistics may be retained in an aggregated, non-identifiable form for fairness analysis and product improvement.
- Abuse and fraud signals — if your account was banned for cheating, harassment, or fraud, a minimal record (hashed identifier) may be retained to prevent ban evasion.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to avoid further charges. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.
